I am a third year Creative Writing student currently living in Winchester who writes a lot, draws a lot, takes a lot of photos and sings when she thinks nobody's in the house. I act a bit too now and then, there will be a page for that soon once I've picked the right photos and found all the old programs. I write all sorts of things, but at the moment it's mainly short stories and flash fictions. I find some of my best writing comes from this format and I love the idea of writing so much with so little words. My stories, although usually focussing on everyday occurrences and insights of human relationships, often incorporate surreal or magical elements. I draw a lot of influence from some of my favourite authors; Haruki Murikami, Charles Bukowski and Neil Gaiman to name a few.

 

Having drawn a lot in my spare time for as long as I can remember, my artwork has recently crossed the line from casual doodling to commissioned work (details in the CV and Artwork section). This does not mean I will stop defacing the margins of every worksheet I find in front of me.

 

I've created this blog in order to cram all my work somewhere a little more public and to finally incorporate my creative projects into my social networking. I will be updating it on a weekly basis with stories, blogging of general brain nonsense, photos and drawings.
